  • 1 large ripe avocado

  • 1 shallot (or ¼ onion)

  • 2 cloves of garlic

  • lemon juice of half a lemon

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

Peel the avocado, remove the pit, and mash it with a fork. Add finely sliced shallot and garlic (it can also be squeezed through the garlic press), and other spices. Mix well with a fork, add more lemon or salt if needed, and serve.
