RAW MILLET FOR BREAKFAST

Serves 2 


Ingredients:

  • 100 g almonds

  • 350 ml water

  • 100 g millet

  • 80 g dried fruit (raisins, cranberries, goji berries, dried sour cherries)

  • 1 mango (or any other seasonal fruit)

  • 1 banana

  • pinch vanilla 

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon


nuts, dried and fresh fruit for garnishing



Soak almonds from 4 to 8 hours, drain and rinse them in running water. Add 250 ml of water, vanilla and cinnamon and blend everything. Put the raw millet into a larger dish and pour 100 ml of water over it. Then gently place almonds over the raw millet making sure that the millet remains on the bottom of the dish. Leave everything to soak for 8 hours or overnight. Put dried fruit into a small bowl, add water, and leave them soaking for at least 30 minutes. Drain the dried fruit and sprinkle them over the almond-millet mixture, add blended mango and banana and mix well. Serve cold, garnished with nuts, fresh and dried fruit.
